Experts from the European Commission will introduce the European Innovation Council (EIC) to interested stakeholders  in Belgium. A panel will discuss on the policy, followed by an information session on the novelties in the revised work programme 2019-2020. After introducing the rationale behind the Enhanced EIC Pilot in Horizon 2020, DG R&I will explain practical elements in the implementation, the novelties of the Enhanced EIC Pilot as well as details on upcoming calls. The full-fledged EIC is expected to begin its activities under Horizon Europe (2021-2027) with a proposed budget of €10bn.

The EIC Pathfinder Pilot comprises FET-Open and FET-Proactive and offers grants of up to €4 million to promote collaborative, inter-disciplinary research and innovation on science-inspired and radically new future technologies.
